The studio

Working out of a corner room on Moore Street, film flat files and all.
Vandergroot began the way most trades do — with one person, one camera, and a stubborn preference for doing it properly. Fifteen years on, the process hasn’t changed much: scout the building, wait for its light, work the shot list room by room.
We shoot tethered and level, correct verticals in-frame rather than stretching them after, and grade every set by hand so a folio of forty images reads as one building — not forty guesses. The people who commission us tend to come back, which is the only endorsement a photographer really earns.
Based in Chelmsford, MA; on site across the Merrimack Valley and Greater Boston. No stylists you didn’t ask for, no drone unless the roof deserves one.
